More About Antigua

1-IMG_5637In 1979, Antigua was designated a UNESCO World Heritage SIte for its well preserved colonial architecture and cultural value. The city is like an open air museum where you will see churches, museums and ruins from the early 1700s. Wander through cobblestone streets with numerous cafes, shops and restaurants, or venture out beyond the city to take guided tours through the mountains and volcanoes that surround the Antigua Valley.

Antigua is the jewel of Guatemala. There is so much to see and do, in town or in the surrounding mountains; you will never be at a loss to create your own unforgettable experiences.
