Safety Is Key
The health and safety of GiveGetGo team participants and leaders is a top priority of GiveGetGo Inc. Our staff are knowledgeable and readily available to assist volunteers and their families not only with the decision-making process, but with pre-departure guidance and 24/7 assistance while in the host country. GiveGetGo has carefully selected our trip leaders based on their passion for adventure and commitment to unbelievable travel experiences. They are well-travelled, organized, and reliable leaders who have experience working on build sites and firmly believe in providing you with the best travel experience they can.
GiveGetGo has strong relationships with our charitable partners, ground operations, tour leaders and local contacts which keep us informed and up-to-date on all local situations in which we operate. Our passengers’ safety is of the utmost priority and we rely on these networks to allow us to make the operational decisions necessary to keep our trips running safely. We are in constant contact with our team leaders, local operators, and colleagues in order to closely monitor and inform you of the most current information affecting any regions where we operate. GiveGetGo staff have personally visited the locations several times to ensure your safety and enjoyment while travelling with us. From safe drinking water to hotel security and the closest medical facilities, all aspects of possible risks have been thoroughly assessed and mitigated to the best of our ability.
Our adventures will take you to exciting and distant lands. With that, comes possible exposure to new and unfamiliar bugs, viruses and infections. Consult your local medical professional or travel clinic well before leaving home as they may suggest vaccinations to prevent against common diseases.
We also ask you to complete our Volunteer Information Form which includes emergency contact information and any medical conditions or concerns we should be aware of. This will help us to give you the assistance you need while with us, and allow us to give special attention to those who may need it. Copies of the participant’s passports are requested and it is highly recommended that all participants are registered with their respective embassy to ensure accountability in case of emergency.
